Can it possibly be true ? Nooooo, surely not !
Might it be worth a try ?
In the interests of science I feel I must give it a go . . .
1. Sharon makes yummy chocolate cake for us to share at our Woolly Worstead Making Day
2. Within five minutes of our arrival at ten o’clock, the lid is off the box and Elly tucks in
3. Elly quietly busies herself with something, and within a few minutes produces this !
I just KNOW there’s a link !
Sandra and Tim have created this wonderful sheep for Woolly Worstead. We think it should become our mascot.
Gerry brought along this magnificent shawl knitted from a vintage pattern. She certainly is very talented.
We certainly had a fun day generally doing a variety of crafts, weighing up bags of flax, and with some more serious items as well. One of the floor looms is being warped up ready to weave a blanket in beautiful shades of grey and pink. Hopefully this will be available to view at our #woollyworstead2016 event on 18th and 19th June.
Two of the good things about our Guild is the way we welcome folks of all abilities, and the way in which we share skills and knowledge.
Pics from last night’s meeting demonstrate this beautifully –
Ellie’s card woven braid is to edge her hand knitted Elizabeth Zimmerman jacket;
Sue’s first ever weaving on a floor loom has resulted in stunning fabric for two cushions;
Sandra’s teaching has ensured Becky’s delicate lace picture frame is a joy;
new girl Tina incorporated bicycle innertube into her Eco peg loom doormat.
Good stuff !
