Members were delighted to be involved in the Paston Footprints Project once again. This time we were spinning and weaving in St Peter’s, Hungate, Norwich – the Paston family’s local church. A visit to the nearby coffee shop provided us with fuel for an enjoyable day.
As part of the Paston Project, six Members put on kirtles and coifs and spun the day away in the shade of the cedar trees
Looking like extras from The Handmaiden’s Tale, or the founder members of a new Order of Nuns, Guild Members prepare for a Medieval Day at Mannington on Sunday 5th August. Come and see us !
Worstead Guild will be at the Forum on week 26th- 30th March
Makers’ Month, at The Forum, is a 27 day celebration of Norfolk’s making skills and making heritage. Meet enthusiasts from across the county, eager to show you how to knit, sew, crochet, spin, weave, print, embroider, quilt, draw, paint, sculpt, carve and even whittle. As well as opportunities to try out some of the skills for free, there’s a programme of bookable workshops, fascinating talks and inspiring exhibitions. Everyone is welcome at Maker’s Month and entrance is free. The event runs from 10am to 4pm every day, from Monday 12 March to Saturday 7 April. This is your chance to learn new skills – both contemporary and traditional – and to discover interesting ways to express your creativity. The programme changes every few days, so check The Forum’s website to plan your visits. And you can follow Makers’ Month on Facebook and Instagram.
