Worstead festival 2015

Worstead Weavers

It was another great weekend at the Worstead festival. We had lots of demonstrations and displays of our work….

This years competition theme was Water; over, in or under. Here are the entries for the competition.

Here is a closer look at some of the entries…

A tap with running water made by Sharon Fisher using hand spun and hand dyed yarn.

An underwater scene made by Rosemary Davidson using hand dyed and hand spun yarn.

A watery scene made by Margaret Gilham using hand spun yarn and weaving.

A seahorse woven by Lesley Bone using beads

A watery scene woven by Ellie Jones using hand spun yarn.

All the entries were fabulous! But the winner had to be chosen. The winner was Sandra Martins with her beautiful swan made from a type of weaving called bobbin lace. Congratulations to Sandra!

Thank you to everyone who come and visited us and voted in the competition. It was really lovely to see you all.
